Our amazing employee bonuses – Volunteer Time Off with MrGreen!

Volunteer Time Off is a part of MrGreen’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy, an initiative where we give back to the local community.

Mr Green wants to make sure that our employees feel engaged not only within their working environment but can also share their passion in the broader community. 

The intention of Volunteer Time Off programme is to create community engagement opportunities for the employees of Mr Green that are meaningful, purposeful and helps those in need. At the same time, Mr Green recognises that participating in these activities will also enrich and inspire the lives of our employees.

All our employees (sic!) can volunteer up to a month a year with a recognised local or foreign non-profit organisation or charity. What’s important is that employees will be paid at their normal pay rate for the volunteer period taken. Also, everyone can join the programme.

This year Tobias, Head of Affiliation at Mr Green, spent a month in Curacao helping in a dog shelter. Here is his statement:

“Last August I spent the entire month in Curacao helping CARF (Curacao Animal Rescue Foundation) with their dog shelter. It was both hard and rewarding experience. It did a lot to lift my eyes from what’s just in front of me to what’s truly important in life.

I can only give the advice to take this unique opportunity and spend time on whatever charity your heart beats for. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity (or a once in a year opportunity if you are working for Mr Green) to do this, sponsored by your company, and it’s an opportunity not to be missed.”
