Tips from the Trading Room – Royal Ascot

The highlight of the flat racing season is here and we’ve delved into the Mr Green Trading Room to dig out some tips for the opening day of the festival.

The Banker

Declarationofpeace 11/4 – Tuesday 5.35pm

A comfortable winner at Dundalk on his last outing when strong favourite and will likely head the field in the opening day’s finale. Half brother to Honor Code, previous Group 1 winner.

The Outsider

Thunder Snow 12/1 – Tuesday 4.20pm

In a small field where heavy favourite Churchill will take most the attention, Thunder Snow only needs to come in the top 3 to repay your faith in an each way bet. Has won four times over similar distances too.

The Long Shot

Ardhoomey 25/1 – Tuesday 3.40pm

In what looks like a wide open King’s Stand Stakes it could be wise to take a look at the bigger prices for some each-way value. Ardhoomey should come into the equation – he’s got eye-catching recent form over firm ground, has had good results in Ireland and looks better than his odds in this ‘Price Boost the Field’ race.

Get Your Frankie Fix

If, like us, you’re missing Frankie Dettori at this year’s festival after he pulled out through injury, you can still have a flutter on Frankie by playing the Frankie Dettori, Magic Seven Slot at Mr Green’s Casino.

  • Price Boost on all the Queen’s runners
  • Price Boost on all Jim Crowley’s rides
