Return of the Premier League

Thankfully we’ve had the success of the Lionesses to keep us occupied through the summer break but life is just plain better when the Premier League is in motion. During a summer of spending silly there are plenty of reasons to be excited about the season ahead.

Hey Big Spender

Reigning champs Chelsea took a while to start spending but the notable signing of £70 million(!) Morata from Real Madrid underlines their plans for life after wantaway Diego Costa. Man City have, of course, got involved with the transfer merry-go-round, dishing out over £100 million on full backs. Elsewhere in Manchester, United stumped up what seems to be the go-to price tag for a striker nowadays when they plucked Lukaku from Everton for £70 mill. As well as Matic’s arrival, Mourinho seems to be building a powerful starting 11 and he’ll be confident of a better league performance this year. If you think they’ll go much better, Mr Green has a boost for you…

Price Boost: Man United to win the league – 5/1

The London Look

Meanwhile, in North London, Arsenal have paid a fortune for Lacazette but their biggest priority will be to keep hold of Alexis Sanchez. And Spurs continue to refuse to get involved in the madness as Levy and Pochettino seem content to build on last season with their impressive young squad. One of which will be after another fruitful season ahead of the World Cup…

Price Boost: Harry Kane to win the Golden Boot – 7/2

What goes up…

…doesn’t necessarily have to go down, but three teams do. Brighton and Newcastle were a class apart in the Championship last season but will the Seagulls suffer for a lack of experience in the top division?

Price Boost: Brighton to get relegated – 6/4
