Mr Green’s Grand National Tips
You’ll have heard most the 40 Grand National runners being tipped up by the time we make it to the off on Saturday, but if you’ve still not made up your mind allow us to sell the case of another three.
We’ve got our eyes on a horse from every section of the odds sheet.
Pick of the fancied:
We know it’s not cool to tip the favourite but you’re still getting double digit odds, so let us off. Finished 7th in last year’s National, which was it’s first attempt as a 7 year old (no horse under 8 has won since 1940). It knows how to get around and has improved throughout the year, with two wins from two this season. It also recently beat the well-fancied Blaklion so it should give you as good a run for your money as any of the other favourites.
The Each Way shot:
Has a decent record in the National, most notably a runner up finish to Many Clouds. A couple of years older and wiser now and is still showing decent form as recently as February. If you back Saint Are each way he only needs to finish in the top 5 for you to still be due a few bob.
The Dream Maker:
Now we go searching the underbelly of the card looking for the winning lottery numbers. The National is that bit more exciting when you’ve backed a monster price and Drop Out Joe can provide that buzz. He’s a bit of an unknown quantity having not raced since last June, which will have contributed to the 66/1 price. But that last race was a victory, he’s fit enough to start and as we all know anything can happen!
Mr Green is paying the Top 5 places for each way bets on the National, at ¼ of the odds.
On top of that (if you’re quick enough) take advantage of our limited time only Price Boosts:
Cause of Causes was 14/1 NOW 18/1
Blaklion was 14/1 NOW 18/1
Max bet of £10 applies to the boosts and you can’t go each way on them. All prices above are correct at time of publish.
