If you have a hard hand (a starting hand not containing an ace) that sums up to 13 to 16, playing Black Jack, the decision to stand or hit actually is depending on what the dealer holds. Please be advised that if you bust you lose the game, even if the bank (dealer) also busts.Should the dealer hold 2 to 6 you should stand. If not you should hit.
This advice goes for a soft 17 game, the most common Black Jack rules in Europe, that is if the dealer stands on all 17s.
Can you figure out why this is great advice and the mathematics behind it?
